Health Information Technology (HIT) plays a central role in supporting high quality patient care (including electronic record keeping, electronic disease registries, health information exchange, internet communication with patients and electronic prescribing) and contributes to a fully functional and efficient medical home. By becoming recognized as a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH), health centers will improve patient care and their experience, and position themselves to take advantage of private and/or public incentives that reward recognition. Many of the workflow and process modifications necessary to implement the core components of PCMH are dependent on the EHR you have chosen. Learn from other health centers and experts who have achieved PCMH recognition using the same EHR as you are in this new two part webinar series and how they effectively leveraged its features and functionality to become recognized as a Patient Centered Medical Home.
