DESCRIPTION
On February 8, 2006, President Bush signed into law the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005 (“DRA”),1 a bill designed to reduce Federal spending on entitlement programs over five years. The DRA contains many provisions relating to Medicaid benefits, eligibility, coverage, and cost sharing that affect health centers and their patients. However, there are three lesser known provisions of significance to health centers’ compliance programs.
